Broadcast Microwave Services Acquires Data911

Data911 specialized in developing modular information systems for police, fire and EMS personnel

POWAY, CA–Broadcast Microwave Services has finalized its acquisition of Data911, an Alameda, California-based modular information systems developer of in-car HD video systems, body cameras, license plate recognition systems, ruggedized computer tablets and vehicle tracking software.

“We believe that the combination of the mission-critical products and services of Data911 together with BMS broadens our offering to the law enforcement and public safety community,” said Chuck Beck, president and CEO of BMS.

In addition to its broadcast business, BMS also focuses on the IT and telecommunication areas of law enforcement and military defense, offering transmitters, receivers and tracking antenna systems.

“BMS has a long history of providing the highest quality video transmission solutions to aviation assets worldwide and Data911’s focus on delivering world class solutions to mobile ground assets is a natural extension for us,” Beck added.
