BURLINGTON, MASS.—While there likely isn’t going to be a quad area, educational institutions now have access to the Avid Media Campus program, which provides access to Avid technology to help educators prepare students for careers in the media and entertainment industries.

Avid Media Campus provides engagement with Avid tools and workflow systems that span film/video/TV, sports, graphics, journalism, music/audio production, live sound and theater. Additional benefits of the Avid Media Campus program include access to regional and campus events; support for student competitions; and a planned student campus rep.

Among some of the school’s that have already implemented the Avid Campus Media program are UCLA, Middlesex University and Columbia University.
