NEW YORK—InfoComm 2017 is set to kick off on June 14 down in Orlando and Government Video’s sister publication AV Network has now released a preview guide on the annual convention, “The Technology Manager’s Guide to InfoComm 2017.”

The “Guide” kicks off its coverage with a two part look at the emerging technologies expected to be present at InfoComm 2017, “Emerging Technologies – An Evolution” and “5 Emerging AV/IT Technologies – The Revolution,” specifically addressing things like Gartner’s 2016 Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies and things like Artificial Intelligence, software-defined anything and more. A preview of the inaugural TIDE (Technology. Innovation. Design. Experience) conference is also included, which will run the day before InfoComm begins.

Other areas of focus covered in the guide include “Alliances Influencing the AV/IT Industry,” a look at alliances that include AES67, AVNU Alliance, Dante, HDBaseT Alliance, Media Networking Alliance, Open Control Architecture Alliance, Q-SYS and Software Defined Video Over Ethernet. There are also a series of peer-to-peer blurbs from veteran AV/IT technology managers who will be in attendance about their missions during the show. A look at “New & Notable Products” is also available.

In addition, the guide provides some assistance for attendees on the general show, including a “GPS” of InfoComm, providing highlights for many of the events going on during the show, as well as a series of “survival tips.”

AV Network’s “The Technology Manager’s Guide to InfoComm 2017” is now available here.

InfoComm 2017 will take place from June 14-16 in Orlando, Fla.
