Atlona Shipping Its Latest HDMI Extenders

Both the transmitter and receiver provide reliable signal transmission up to 328 feet

Atlona, a manufacturer of digital connectivity solutions, is now shipping its latest HDMI extenders—the AT-HDTX-RSNET transmitter and AT-HDRX-RSNET receiver—both of which feature HDBaseT technology.

Specifically engineered for maximum HDBaseT performance, the AT-HDTX-RSNET transmitter and AT-HDRX-RSNET receiver provide reliable signal transmission up to 328 feet, Atlona says. Both the transmitter and receiver also provide bidirectional control with Ethernet, RS-232 and Infrared remote control for compatibility with third-party control systems, according to the company.

By using Power over Category cable (PoCc), AV, RS-232, IR and power can be sent over a single category cable, eliminating the need for receiver power supplies, Atlona says.

The new RSNET family of HDMI extenders features locking HDMI ports, USB ports for in-field firmware updates, and captive screw connectors for IR, RS-232, and RJ45 Ethernet connectors, Atlona says. Resolutions up to UltraHD (4Kx2K) and CEC pass-through are also supported by the devices, the firm says.

“Our new HDBaseT extenders are our most powerful, adaptable, and compatible extenders,” says Steve Heintz, Atlona’s senior product manager. “They can be used with all of Atlona’s new HDMI matrix switchers and distribution amplifiers and can easily extend 4Kx2K resolutions up to 328 feet with bidirectional Ethernet pass-through, RS-232 and IR connections,” he says.
