Foothill Ranch, Calif. – Aten, a manufacturer of KVM and connectivity solutions, recently announced the VM5808H 8×8 HDMI matrix switch, which provides a nearly undetectable switching delay between selected inputs and outputs.
The VM5808H connects up to eight HDMI sources to a maximum of eight HDMI displays, allowing any input to be redirected to any or all outputs extending video distance to a maximum distance of 65 feet.
The VM5080H combines Aten’s EDID Expert functionality with its “Seamless Switch” technology to support mixed environments with disparate input and display resolutions, automatically selecting the optimum display parameters for a given display when switching inputs. Switching and configuration are accomplished by front panel pushbuttons, an IR remote control, RS232, Telnet, or a browser GUI/network interface.
For real-time audio/video content, without compromising quality and reliability, the VM5808H provides a way to switch and distribute HDMI outputs from multiple sources to be quickly and conveniently switched to any of multiple destinations, for such applications as stage presentations, conferences, control centers and digital signage.
“With our zero-second delay technology, Aten’s VM5808H allows almost instantaneous switching from any attached video source to any attached display, with no compromise in display or quality,” said Jack Wang, CEO of Aten. “This product is truly unique and delivers the fastest matrix switching currently available on the market.”
