Analog Way Ascender16 seamless switcher
Analog Way’s Ascender 16 is a multiscreen seamless switcher based on the company’s LiveCore platform. Ascender 16 features 12 inputs and can route to 42 possible outputs: six HDMI, nine DVI-I, three DisplayPort, 12 3G/HD/SD-SDI and 12 universal analog. It can handle any source from composite video, up to 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution, and outputs a variety of formats, including HDTV and computer formats up to 2560 x 1600 and 4K.
Ascender 16 is available with full 4K resolution I/O as an optional feature. With this option the device supports 3840×2160 (UHD) and 4096×2160 resolutions (native resolution for DCI-compliant 4K).
Ascender 16 includes an independent Dual-Link output for monitoring purposes, with a live source mosaic layout. The product delivers varied display configurations: mixer, hybrid, hard-edge and soft-edge configurations. In addition to a native background layer, the unit can display up to two true seamless scaled layers per output.
Up to 100 slots are available to store frames or logos in the device’s non-volatile memory. Layers, including frames and logos, can be controlled individually in time and transition, and can be fully resized. Advanced layer management ensures higher flexibility and safety: when one output is disabled, its layers can be added to another output, resulting in a setup with up to eight layers on a single output.
Thanks to the additive modularity mode, users can link two units, with inputs and outputs shared and added. Units will then function as one impressive 24×8+2 scaled seamless matrix system with two live mosaic previews, 84 input plugs, 100 frames and logos and 32 scalers available. Or to double the output capabilities only, the LiveCore Output Expander can be linked to the Ascender 16, resulting in a 12×8+2 scaled seamless matrix system.
