NORTHAMPTON, MA–Within the Alaska Public Media network, Myers Protrack TV has been used for it’s television operations at KAKM(TV) since 1999. But now Myers Protrack Radio is the new workflow platform for the networks radio division–KSKA(FM).
“We are pleased that we were able to expand our relationship with Myers in this capacity. It has alleviated redundancies within our operation and positioned us to be able to capitalize on more sales opportunities, which are critical to our business moving forward,” says Bob Wyatt, Alaska Public Media’s chief technology officer.
Protrack Radio does many of the same things Protrack TV does, except on a different medium. Comprehensive programming, scheduling, and traffic management capabilities are its main purpose, but the workflow integrates TV and Radio functions with sales and administrative duties like contracts, invoicing, affidavits and receivables.
With one platform in use, Alaska Public Media can now train its broadcast operations employees, across its whole network, a common set of best practices.
