There are a lot of government-related video stories out there, and we simply can’t cover that many in the pages of the print magazine. Therefore, I’ve been nosing around to find out if we can set up an area on Government Video’s web site where we could post about interesting stuff that you are doing.
So far, the response internally has been very favorable and I hope to see something happen in the next couple of weeks. This means that if you work in a government video facility and just did something interesting, you can write up a few hundred words about it, send me a photo, and I’ll post it here on GV’s web site. If you work for a vendor who did something interesting for a government client, send that to me (with a photo, of course) and I’ll use that.
My goal is to create an archive of information about government video operations where you can read about how others may have solved the problem that you are facing today. Obviously, it will take a while before we build up enough information to reach that goal, but we have to start somewhere.
The good news that I want to report is that everyone here at Government Video thinks it’s a good idea, too. If we all think positive thoughts, maybe this will get done soon. I will be sure to let you know when it does.
