FCC Meeting Includes Review of Effort to Reform Interstate Inmate Calling

The FCC’s open meeting scheduled for Aug. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the commission’s Washington headquarters has on the agenda a review of efforts to reform inmate calling services.

Government Video published an article in the January 2013 issue. Headlined: Prison Use of Video Visitation Keeps Inmates Connected to Kin.” In the article–by James Careless–the point is made that visitation by video conferencing can reduce inmate recidivism.
