The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a request for bids for a closed-circuit television system to be installed at a science facility in Juneau, Alaska.
The CCTV system is to be installed at National Marine Fisheries Service, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories.
The vendor is to integrate eight analog cameras through a digital encoder into a network-based video server enabling control and monitoring of the existing cameras, the solicitation said.
Additional cameras will be added to the system in areas not already covered by video surveillance. Network connectivity to support the installation of those cameras will be installed for the lab basement, penthouse, filter building, wet well and wet lab annex, according to the solicitation. That connectivity will include the installation of PoE switches at each location to allow the installation of multiple cameras through standard Cat5e connections. The number of cameras to be provided under this contract will be determined during evaluation of the contract.
Vendors must have a Data Universal Numbering System number assigned by Dun & Bradstreet Inc. and be registered in the System for Award Management in order for an award to be made.
The solicitation was issued July 12, and the deadline for responses is July 26. The solicitation number is ABL-13235.
