35 Public TV Stations Earn CPB Partnership Planning Grants

Enables stations to utilize PBS Kids science and literary resources

CPB has awarded $177,697 in grants to 35 public TV stations, providing them with connection to PBS Kids’ science and literary resources.

The grants, which average $5,000 apiece, are part of the CPB-PBS Ready to Learn Initiative, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Education.

“Education is core to public media’s mission and these planning grants will help stations analyze community needs and determine best partners to reach and serve young children and their families,” said Deb Sancehz, CPB senior vice president, education and children’s content.
