Los Angeles / Boston – The Final Cut Pro User Group Network (FCPUG Network) announces the immediate availability of issue three of the FCPUG “SuperMag” magazine, a free online .pdf download via registration on the FCPUG Network website. Issue three of SuperMag consists of over 170 pages of tutorials, tips, techniques and feature articles for today’s digital filmmaker. The SuperMag is a collaborative, user-authored digital magazine written by some of the world’s leading creative professionals in the editing and digital filmmaking community. This SuperMag was originally released as part of a DVD collection of Final Cut Studio resources to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Final Cut Pro at the Eighth Annual NAB FCPUG SuperMeet in Las Vegas this past April 2009.

“The contributors to SuperMag have been very generous in sharing their experiences and solutions with us,” states Daniel Berube, Editor-In-Chief of the SuperMag and Co-Producer of the FCPUG Network SuperMeets along with Michael Horton of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. “What makes this issue of SuperMag valuable reading is the sense of welcome and membership in a user-driven community derived from like-minded working creative professionals from around the country and abroad. This is indeed a global effort and with the SuperMag, we wish to motivate and inspire today’s digital filmmaker to action.”

“Issue three of the SuperMag features tutorials ranging from “Making Home Movies” all the way to Final Cut Server/FCP workflows. There is something in the SuperMag for everyone,” adds Horton. “The entire magazine is all about hands-on solutions and proven workflow methods that are sure to help every production and post-production person in the industry. The SuperMag’s 33 contributing authors and editors combined have done a brilliant job in this respect and it is only right that we mention them as they all deserve a lot of credit.”

“It’s great being part of the the third issue of FCPUG SuperMag which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Final Cut Pro. Imagine sitting in a coffee shop with some of the top FCP experts and getting personal training…well, you supply the coffee and the SuperMag does the rest,” states Apple ProApps mentor trainer Abba Shapiro, author of “Final Cut Pro 7 Essential Training” (Lynda.com) and co-author of “Final Cut Pro On the Spot” (Focal Press). “Geared toward the professional editor, the SuperMag brings together the digital filmmaking community, giving insight and techniques that will help raise your work to the next level.”

Several of SuperMag’s tutorials contain accompanying video tutorials that are linked from the digital magazine to the FCPUG Network website as a bonus to SuperMag subscribers. These video tutorials are available in Flash, QuickTime and iPhone video formats.

“Moving forward with the SuperMag, we plan to implement more interactive features of Adobe Acrobat,” states Berube. “We’ve started in issue three via web urls, email and links to video tutorials that are available on the FCPUG Network website.
