Tucson Film & Music Festival Presents the “Best Of The Fest” Weekend!

Tucson, AZ – (December 5, 2008) — Tucson Film & Music Festival is proud to present a “Best Of The Festâ€? weekend, December 12-14th, 2008. Back by popular demand, the weekend long event features some of this year’s most popular programs and films and offers a special screening of A Deal Is A Deal starring Quantum of Solace’s Bond Girl Gemma Arterton.

All programs will be held at The Screening Room (
127 E Congress Street). Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at The Screening Room box office throughout the “Best of the Fest� weekend.

Full Moon Lightnin’

Directed by John Gardiner, the music documentary stars New York City bluesman Floyd Lee (

) and will be presented in conjunction with the Tucson Blues Society.
A Deal Is A Deal (


This hilarious comedy directed by Jonathan Gershfield stars Mackenzie Crook, (BBC’s The Office, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy) Gemma Arterton, (Quantum of Solace’s sexy new Bond girl) and Oscar™-nominee Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake, Harry Potter).

This program showcases videos from Radiohead, Dengue Fever, INTERPOL, Greyboy Allstars, Tucson’s own The Mission Creeps and more!

Deadline approaching! The festival is also currently seeking submissions for “Tucson: SR77� – a competition that challenges Southwestern filmmakers to produce a short film that captures the creative heart and soul of Tucson. Submissions are free and the winning entries will be showcased at a special screening or as part of the TFMF festival open in 2009.

How does Tucson inspire you? Submit a short that illuminates the best of Tucson’s art and music scene for the chance to be showcased in a special screening hosted by the Tucson Film & Music Festival. “Tucson: SR77� submissions do not require music; however, film soundtracks must feature Tucson-based bands and artists.
