PROMAX|BDA ANNOUNCES DESIGN GURU AND RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN PRESIDENT JOHN MAEDA TO DELIVER KEYNOTE AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE

, the leading global association for marketing, promotion and design professionals working in the entertainment industry, announced today a powerful slate of speakers from the design world to address the congregation at the annual conference June 16-18 in New York City. This year’s elite group of presenters includes Rhode Island School of Design head, John Maeda; Justin Cone, Editor of

and celebrated artist Ralph Steadman.

Maeda, who is currently the president of the Rhode Island School of Design, was recently identified as one of the 75 most influential people of the 21st century by Esquire Magazine. His keynote at Promax|BDA will shed light on how design professionals can utilize the most cutting edge technologies to enhance their creativity.

Justin Cone has become one of the design industry’s leading voices through his informative and highly trafficked site, Motionographer. From advertising to film, and gaming to promotion, Cone’s presentation will provide an exclusive look at the most compelling, innovative and eye-catching design work from every corner of the globe and every creative industry under the sun.

Also a highlight at this year’s Promax|BDA is illustrator and creative visionary, Ralph Steadman, perhaps best known for his collaborations with Hunter S. Thompson. He will engage the Promax|BDA audience in a spirited, intimate conversation called “Fear and Loathing in Creativity & Design,� which will cover the significance of adventure in life, the pursuit of creativity and the art of embracing the unknown.
