Counterpoint Systems, the leader in software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing, has appointed Bill Woods to the newly-created position of Manager of Sales for the Americas. Woods will lead the sales effort in North and South America for all Counterpoint Systems’ products including its flagship product Media Maestro which is used by studios, networks and other content owners worldwide to manage rights and royalty information. Most recently, Woods served as Field Sales Director, Southern California for Nortel.

For the past five years at Nortel, Woods led a sales team that provided business communications solutions and infrastructure to large commercial accounts including CBS, Amgen, Creative Artist Agency and Kinko’s. His background also includes senior sales and marketing positions with Occam Networks, Network Associates, Cabletron Systems and Xircom. He began his career writing software Data Select Systems and McDonnell Douglas.
