The new, browser-based axle Video/Cache-A solution automatically catalogs and tracks media content over its lifecycle. Content can be quickly annotated with customizable metadata fields, then archived to, and quickly retrieved from, a network-attached Cache-A LTO-tape appliance, with a storage capacity in the hundreds of Terabytes. The solution leverages Cache-A’s industry-leading support for LTFS LTO storage together with axle’s user-friendly front-end interface. It is notable for its simplicity of installation, ease-of-use, and compatibility with NAS/SAN storage and operating systems.
