da Vinci Revivalâ„¢ System Tapped to Restore 5,000 Historic Chinese Films

New, Open Format Intended to Bring Predictability and Consistency to Digital Cinema Workflows

Indianapolis Public Schools Chooses Utah Scientific for Facility Upgrade

SALT LAKE CITY — April 9, 2008 — Utah Scientific today announced that Indianapolis Public Schools Television has installed three of the company’s routers and the company’s SC-4 control system to support production, videoconferencing, distance learning, training opportunities, and community programming in the district that serves 35,000 students spread among 79 buildings. Located in a central facility in the Indiana capital, the district’s television operation feeds 70 channels to the school system, which is the largest in Indiana, as well as two channels to communitywide cable television. more…

Adobe Advances Dynamic Media Workflows at NAB

Adobe Drives the Creation, Delivery, and Playback of Dynamic Content

SAN JOSE, Calif. and LAS VEGAS NV — April 14 , 2008 — Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) is showcasing new technologies and initiatives that are helping to drive innovation across dynamic media content creation, delivery, and playback at the 2008 NAB Show, beginning today. Adobe is spearheading an effort to begin defining an industry wide open file format for digital cinema files, which is planned to be called CinemaDNG (see separate press release), and delivering native support for the Sony XDCAM EX camera format in Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS3 software. Matrox Axio LE and Matrox Developer Products Are Integral Components of Full-Digital Broadcast Installation at South Korea-based OBS Kyung-in TV

Montreal, Canada, April 14, 2008 - Matrox® Video Products Group today announced that OBS Kyung-in TV, a newly established terrestrial broadcasting company in South Korea, has chosen Matrox-based HD content creation and delivery systems for its 100% tapeless environment. OBS has recently begun transmitting full HD video signals for news, drama, sports, and entertainment programs produced by its fully networked digital production and playout system which it calls NBS (Networked Broadcast System). IBM Korea was a main contractor, providing the industry-standard IBM software, hardware, and business/technology services that enables the facility to be fully networked.
