615 Music Signs Music Deal with BELO Corp. TV Stations

New Range of I/O Boxes at NAB2007

At NAB2007 Calrec will launch a new range of remote I/O boxes to compliment the company’s existing modular remote I/O box. These fixed-format boxes
range from 2 RU to 4 RU in size and all have built-in PSU redundancy with single or optional dual IEC power connections.

Calrec will be showing the first two boxes from this range: the AD5603, a 2-RU analog I/O unit, and the JB5607, a 3-RU unbalanced AES I/O unit. The AD5603 consists of 24 mic/line inputs and 8 line outputs with phantom power indication on mic inputs and a tricolor signal LED indicating whether audio
is present, normal, or at clip for each input. The JB5607 consists of 32 AES inputs and 32 AES outputs on BNC connectors. The AES unit is also available as a 110-Ohm XLR-based 4-RU variant. more

Omega With Bluefin Unveiled at NAB2007

Calrec will unveil a brand-new console at NAB2007 with the launch of Omega. Omega uses award-winning Bluefin High-Density Signal Processing technology, features 160 channel-processing paths packaged as 48 stereo plus 64 mono channels, and allows up to 24 full 5.1 surround channels.

Omega is positioned between the company’s Zeta and Sigma consoles and provides considerable power in a very small frame. Conditions in key markets encouraged the design of Omega as a smaller console than Sigma but with the same buss structure and delay facilities that Bluefin provides. Omega with Bluefin is equipped with 160 mono DSP paths and, in keeping with previous Bluefin implementations, is managed on just one DSP card. more
