Red Giant Software Acquires Digieffects Cinelook

Special Cross Grade to Magic Bullet Products Offered to Cinelook Customers

San Francisco, CA, October 18, 2007 – Red Giant Software, developer of a line of professional digital video tools, including Magic Bullet and Knoll Light Factory, today announced that the company reached an agreement with Digieffects to acquire Cinelook. This agreement secures Red Giant Software‘s position as the leading provider of color correction tools to set the mood of a movie. Following the recent launch of Magic Bullet Looks, Cinelook will no longer be sold or developed by either company. Digieffects will continue to offer free technical support to existing customers. Key pieces of the Cinelook technology and workflow may be added to future versions of the Magic Bullet line of tools. more

Strengthens Autodesk‘s Entertainment and Design Offering

Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has completed the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Skymatter Limited, the New Zealand-based, privately held developer of Mudbox 3D modeling software. On August 6, 2007, Autodesk announced an agreement to purchase Skymatter‘s assets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. more
