Little Falls, NJ (March 22, 2011) – Transforming 381 Main Bar and Grill from a neighborhood martini lounge to a stunning sports bar equipped with the latest technology was a major undertaking. Owner Steve Baskinger not only orchestrated a complete cosmetic makeover, but also turned to FSR to install a sophisticated video matrix switcher that brings patrons a varied viewing experience via 19 LED TVs situated throughout the establishment.

Baskinger selected the FSR Pathfinder following an exhaustive Internet search for a system capable of routing multiple video sources to multiple video destinations. “Every time I entered my requirements, FSR dominated the results,� he said.

The re-engineered lunchbox boasts many improvements, including an increased power supply current of 215mA per slot, the addition of DB-25 connectors for easy input and output connection and XLR access to channels 7 and 8 of the multi-pins. The revamped lunchbox also provides individual power rail LED indication and re-settable fuses on the power rail of each slot, so that one faulty module will not affect the others. When the time came for St. James Cathedral to upgrade its sound reinforcement system, John Teer of Teer Engineering had a specific design objective: the loudspeakers had to blend into the church’s interior, but without any compromises in performance. To meet the audio and aesthetic needs of the Orlando, Florida house of worship, Teer selected HARMAN’s JBL CBT Series column speakers.

Aesthetics was “a huge part of the project,â€? Teer said. “The church wanted a high-quality sound system that was state-of-the-art but easy to use–and the technology had to be visually unobtrusive.â€?

In his new role, Cross will oversee the technology direction of the company’s hardware and software products, and report to NewTek CEO and President, Jim Plant.
