Studer Vista 5 Digital Console Brings State-of-the-Art Sound To Famed Great Festival Hall in Austria

The Grosses Festspielhaus (Great Festival Hall), home to the famed Salzburg Festival–one of the most famous performance spectaculars in the world–has revamped its main audio system for the first time in two decades. The upgraded system includes a completely redesigned control room, featuring a Studer Vista 5 digital console. Celebrating the hall’s 50th and the festival’s 90th anniversaries, the Vista 5 was chosen for its optimum recording capabilities, with performance recordings in demand throughout the year.

Working to achieve 5.1-quality sound in the control room, which is fairly small and oddly shaped due to the architectural aspects of the nearly century-old venue, the Vista 5 features a lightweight, high-performance compact operating surface, ideal for the small space. AC-ET Opens Students’ Eyes at Oldham College

A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd underlined its commitment to ongoing training when it’s Leeds, UK, based northern office staged a Training Open Day for students on the BTEC Extended Diploma in Production Arts (Technical) at Oldham College.

Adam Beaumont, Head of AC-ET’s Rigging sales division, James Bawn from the Lighting division and Stuart Moots from the Audio division co-ordinated the event, which involved their collective skills, experience and resources, plus some of the industry’s leading rigging, lighting and audio products. The equipment was taken to the college for the day and set up a series of live interactive demonstrations in the purpose built Grange Arts Centre performance facility.

The new Soundcraft Compact Stagebox for Vi and Si consoles offers a high density of I/O connections in only 4U of rack space. Ronco Transforms Sound At Niagara County Community College Theater With Soundcraft® Si3 Digital Console
