Apologue Celebrates Third Anniversary

Experience Design Studio’s Marks Third Year With Slate of Experiential Installations for Lexus, Victoria’s Secret And Timberland

Victoria's Secret Flagship Store

Experience design studio Apologue welcomes its third year in business with a new website designed by Base Design, and experiential installations for clients including Lexus, Victoria’s Secret, and Timberland. In addition, Free Agents is now representing Apologue’s Founder, Tali Krakowsky, as a creative digital mind: http://bit.ly/18qiMmw.

An apologue is a story with a higher purpose, and the Studio infuses installations with purpose and significance – whether the goal is to entertain, educate or sell.

Founded by Krakowsky in 2010, the Studio takes its inspiration from the discipline of architecture, by approaching digital media as another building material to creative digital storytelling in the built environment.

With the proliferation of screens everywhere, Apologue is committed to exploring and inventing new ways for media canvases to perform beautifully, efficiently and effectively.

“We are working towards revolutionizing digital storytelling in the built world,” explains Krakowsky. “By re-imagining the 20th century model of digital storytelling, we are turning it into something that is ever-changing, non-linear, intelligent and potentially interactive.”

Lexus’ 2013 Ride & Drive Event
Apologue built two media installations for Lexus that brings to life the brand’s primary performance stories of Amazing Innovation and Amazing Design. The first showcases the world’s first circular carbon fiber loom machine, developed by Lexus, to transcend the constraints of metal and other traditional materials. The second is a digital Wind Tunnel, which captures the spirit of speed and makes the invisible performance principles of aerodynamics both visible and interactive. The installations traveled through 11 cities around the United States this summer.

Victoria’s Secret Flagship Store
For Victoria’s Secret Flagship London Store, Apologue created an in-store media experience that captures the spirit of the brand. Krakowsky and her team developed an intelligent, centralized, digital media platform that supports five distinct digital canvases—the largest of which is three stories tall. The innovation lies in self-curating media interfaces that simultaneously feed unique Victoria’s Secret videos, photography and ambient content to both small and giant screens automatically.

Timberland’s Store Of the Future
For Timberland’s new concept stores in England, Singapore and the U.S., Apologue imagined and designed an intelligent modular system, which seamlessly integrates into store fixtures while delivering updatable brand and product-related interactive experiences.

“Apologue is interested in creating the highest level of design that makes business sense for clients,” concludes Krakowsky. “Defining strategic goals for media is critical to the success of the installations, while data capture is critical to the measurement of the project’s success. Our systems are built with both operational efficiencies and sustainability in mind.”
