Both systems are available in black or white.

Actus Gives Broadcasters and Media Agencies Advanced Media Capture and Repurposing Capabilities

New advancements in media ingest optimized by company’s transport stream capabilities showcased at Broadcast Asia 2012

Tel-Aviv, Israel — June 14, 2012Actus Digital, a developer of web-based media monitoring, content repurposing and verification solutions for broadcasters, is showcasing new media ingest technology at the Broadcast Asia 2012 exhibition, held in Singapore from June 19–22 (stand 4M2-01). The new features are part of the company’s popular Actus View solution, powered by the enterprise Actus 4 Monitoring and Analysis platform.

Ingest Media — Whether It Is a Clip, Camera Recording, or Tape
In addition to supporting both 24/7 and scheduled recordings, the new Actus capabilities provide support for ingesting media from other resources, including content from a field camera or clips downloaded directly to the desktop. The new ingest capabilities let customers view content, add metadata and utilize it as if the content had been recorded directly into Actus. “This is a significant breakthrough for Actus. The new ingest feature lets customers ingest any file and manage it as if it was recorded live from a feed by the Actus system,” says Asaf Salant, Sales Manager, Actus Digital. “The ability to ingest any ‘outside’ third-party media to the system is now fully available. Once ingested, the full range of the system’s features is usable on the ingested media: monitoring, tagging, annotating, searching, clipping, and repurposing. Actus is much more than a compliance and competitive analysis solution. Actus is a cost-effective content management system ideal for repurposing your content.”

The standard broadcast automation workflow has increased the amount of content stored on and played out from video servers. Actus’ new ingest capability monetizes broadcasters’ ability to monitor and analyze such content. Salant adds, “As broadcasters transfer thousands of hours of tape to compressed, digital hard-disk storage, they look for ingest tools like Actus’ that can handle more than one type of recording workflow.”

• Record Transport Stream (TS), also saving the TS in its original format (“as-is”)
• Record multiple audio and multiple subtitles (DVB, Teletext, Imitext, etc.)
• Save the media in any bitrate required: from low quality up to full HD

All Performa3 passive loudspeakers will be available in December 2012, with both subwoofers available in early 2013.

“Our Revel Performa loudspeakers have earned rave reviews from audiophiles since their initial introduction,” said Jim Garrett, Director, Marketing and Product Management for HARMAN Luxury Audio and Loudspeakers. “We have made a number of advancements in loudspeaker materials and manufacturing technologies that we are now able to incorporate into the upgraded Performa3 models. We are confident that listeners will be thrilled with the improvements in sonic performance and musical accuracy.”

To achieve their superior sound quality, Revel Performa3 loudspeakers deploy proprietary drivers throughout. The 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeters deliver airy, extended high-frequency response to beyond 20 kHz, with superlative detail and clarity. The tweeters operate into an exclusive patent-pending Acoustic Lens Waveguide that is precisely shaped using an entirely-new mathematical approach. These new waveguides result in an utterly seamless transition from the midrange to tweeter; greatly enhancing the sense of reality and musicality.

The midrange and low-frequency drivers employ aluminum cones and sophisticated motor systems for extraordinary resolution with low distortion. The cones have integral ribs that add strength and rigidity without added mass, resulting in very low distortion for more natural vocal and instrumental reproduction. The drivers incorporate additional refinements including cast-aluminum frames and efficiently vented, high-power motor structures, to deliver the same superb sonic character over an extraordinarily wide dynamic range.

The F208 and C208 also feature a tweeter level control that allows the speakers’ high-frequency balance to be fine-tuned, and a boundary control, which enables the speakers to be tailored to individual room acoustics and placement positions.

The enclosures are built to the highest standards, with bracing at critical locations and curved side
panels that minimize cabinet-induced coloration. The three-way models feature individual sub-enclosures for the midrange drivers for maximum midrange clarity and definition.

Pixomondo Scores a Slam Dunk for Adidas in Gritty New Spot Featuring Likenesses of Top NBA Athletes

Los Angeles, CA – Miniatures of NBA superstars Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard take it to the hoop in a new :30 web spot for Adidas by Pixomondo. The spot was created by Pixomondo’s Shanghai studio in collaboration with production company Six Toes Shanghai and advertising agency TBWA Shanghai. Launched online exclusively for the Chinese market, the piece can now be viewed here: http://adidasevent.com/nba/

In the highly stylized video, pint-sized action figures of Rose and Howard navigate a funky urban landscape, dodging cars and an aggressive dog, to reach the neighborhood court for a slam dunk. Featuring 2D, 3D and traditional cel animation, the spot aims to bring awareness to Adidas’ current promotional deal in China, which rewards customers with a free collectible figurine in the likeness of favorite players with select purchases.

The spot took nine weeks to create under the direction of Six Toe’s Fabrice Sanchez and the supervision of Pixomondo’s Daniel Rajcic. Six Toes provided a rough initial storyboard then handed off the project to Pixomondo to handle everything but music. Twelve Pixomondo artists contributed to the project, though a core team of five people completed a bulk of the work.

“When I received the script from the agency, I knew right away I wanted to work with Pixomondo,” Sanchez said. “The Adidas spot is our first project together but I hope it is just the beginning of many more to come. For me, Pixomondo was the only studio in China able to understand and realize my vision. I wanted to mix several different media and techniques so I needed solid technical and artistic support. Daniel and his team executed the work beautifully and the passion and commitment they put into the spot really shines through.”

“We really enjoyed working on this project and collaborating with Fabrice, which I think comes through in the final spot,” said Rajcic. “He made us feel like a trusted partner throughout the process, giving us a degree of creative freedom and influence into the final piece. His VFX background definitely helped ensure a smooth production as he deeply understood our process and was very hand on throughout.”

HARMAN’s AKG DMS70 Digital Wireless Microphone System Reinforces Quality And Reliable Transmission

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Highlighting the latest in digital wireless capabilities, HARMAN’s AKG DMS70 – a true uncompressed digital wireless system – provides reliable transmission for performances and events with the quality and reliability AKG has provided for nearly 65 years. The DMS70 operates with 24bit 48 kHz transmission in the 2.4GHz ISM band, a worldwide license-free frequency range, to ensure top-quality audio for every customer.

“HARMAN’s AKG DMS70 system offers exceptional studio-quality sound thanks to its uncompressed digital audio transmission capability,” said Thomas Umbauer, product manager, AKG. “The DMS70 is designed for the most exacting applications where the highest level of wireless audio performance is required. It is especially recommended for guitar and bass because of its ideal frequency response between 20 Hz to 20 kHz.”

DMS70 is ideal for live sound, club sound, conferences, seminars and school and universities – whenever quick and easy setup up is required. The entire DMS70 package includes: AKG’s DSR70 Quattro or DSR70 Dual Receiver, DPT70 Digital Pocket Transmitter and DHT70 Digital Handheld Transmitter, available with patented D5 acoustics or DHT70 Perception with standard supercardioid capsule. The DSR70 Quattro includes a rack mount kit, power supply and other accessories. DMS70 systems are fully compatible – able to be customized and combined for any customer’s needs.

All DMS70 devices are available separately or in the following prepared packages: The Vocal Set, Instrumental Set and the mixed version of Vocal/Instrumental Set. The Quattro “Q” sets include two digital transmitters and the Dual “D” sets, one digital transmitter.
