Click 3X is packing in a world-class panel, a kickin’ band, free tacos, and day drinking at this year’s SXSW. Come to Maggie Mae’s at 323 East 6th Street on Sunday, March 11 at 4 p.m. to mingle with the festival’s brainiest and most riotous attendees. The party, co-hosted by Heard City, will follow Saturday’s rockstar panel “Coppola vs. Kittens: Pro Filmmaking’s Online Future,” which includes Click 3X EP Mary Crosse and others who are active to the online film space.
Panel Info: Held Saturday, March 10th at the Austin Convention Center, “Coppola vs. Kittens” will discuss one of the central questions of our industry: how do you run a profitable operation in an ever-changing new media landscape amid growing demands and shrinking budgets? This panel, moderated by The Idealists Founder Adam Glickman, will explore how professional filmmakers can borrow tricks from amateurs to make the economics of online filmmaking work for them. From Vice to Vimeo, meet four folks cracking the code on how to deliver online films worth watching: Creative Director Mary Fagot, Vimeo Creative Development VP Blake Whitman, VICE Media VP of Sales & Business Development Ben Dietz, and Click 3X’s own EP Mary Crosse, whose experience in both the agency and production company worlds gives her unique insight into how to thrive in every aspect of our business.
Party Time!: After we’ve gotten our learn on, Sunday’s party will really get rumbling with performances from indie-rock band Oh No Oh My (whose music is featured in the new Nissan Micra commercial, among others) and DJ Felix Pacheco of Cilantro Boombox. And, like we said, free tacos and alcohol.
Join Us: To join the party, RSVP on Eventbrite (http://click3xsxsw.eventbrite.com/).
When: Sunday March 11, 2012, 4-7 p.m.
Where: Maggie Mae’s, 323 East 6th Street
