A Sound New LED Screen Solution

London, UK based lighting and visuals rental company Colour Sound Experiment (CSE) has taken delivery of the first batch of its new bespoke designed LED screen product – BT12 – which will be used to ongoing work.
The 12 mm pitch screen is very bright, light and watertight – IP65 rated, a must for the English summer!
Colour Sound’s Steve Marley explains that with an increasing number of lighting designs now incorporating scenic and ambient video visuals as integrated elements, it made sense – both creative and commercial – to be able to offer an ‘in-house’ product to fulfil this criteria. more

Robe & Anolis Light Key Events at 51st Zlin Film Festival

Robe lighting supported the 51st ZLÍN FILM FESTIVAL – International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín – Czech Republic, which is the oldest and among the largest film festivals of its kind worldwide. It attracts over 100,000 visitors to see nearly 600 films from more than 50 countries screened over 8 days.

It was originally staged in Zlin because the city in south-eastern Moravia had one of the first big movie studios in the Czech Republic, which was founded by famous local entrepreneur Jan Antonin Bata in 1936, Since 1918, Bata developed the city extensively in the process of building his shoe empire. The film studio was originally used to make promotional and advertising material for his company and products and gradually became the most prominent centre of filmmaking focussed on children and young people. It also became famous for its animation work, and has been used by numerous international directors over the years. more

ADVANCED BROADCAST SOLUTIONS INSTALLS NEW MEDIA FRONT END FOR EMP MUSEUM’S SKY CHURCH

SEATAC, WA — Seattle’s EMP Museum recently renovated its Sky Church, a one-of-a-kind grand hall that features elaborate automated multimedia presentations complete with lighting, effects, live performances, and elaborate gala events. Earlier this year, premier systems integration firm Advanced Broadcast Solutions (ABS) upgraded the room’s master control, delivering high definition (HD) imagery, true 5.1 surround sound, and a new media front end to manage content.
