FotoKem’s Keep Me Posted Adds Third Nucoda Film Master to its Lineup

Nucoda Supports Integrated Avid and Color Pipeline For Post Facility

(Los Angeles) Image Systems, formerly Digital Vision, has announced that Keep Me Posted (KMP), a FotoKem company, has expanded its commitment to the Nucoda Film Master in the facility, with the purchase of a third system. The need for an additional system is in response to growth in the television and promo business at KMP.

Based in Burbank, KMP is a post production facility specializing in finishing for episodic television, commercials, promos and trailers. The company has fully integrated the Nucoda Film Master, creating an end-to-end, file-based, Avid-centric TV pipeline. KMP’s most recent purchase of the Nucoda Film Master includes the eagerly anticipated Precision panel control surface.

AlphaDogs Post Production Delivers The Three Chocolatiers For The Food Network

Burbank based AlphaDogs Post Production announced they have completed work on The Three Chocolatiers. A new reality television series that takes you inside the family business at the renowned Beverly Hills chocolate shop, Generations of Lee Gelfond. The show airs Friday, July 29th at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on The Food Network. DirecTV and Dish Network, at 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Executive Producer Michael Brockhoff needed a one-stop shop to complete the finish for the show at a reasonable cost. AlphaDogs became the post house of choice based on all services being offered under one roof and their extensive experience in delivering cable network shows at an affordable price. Brockhoff comments, “The team at AlphaDogs cared about the quality of the product as much as we did. The personal attention was appreciated and we didn’t get lost in the client shuffle.”

Stardust Names Josh Libitsky Executive Producer

Production industry veteran Josh Libitsky has assumed Executive Producer responsibilities at bi-coastal production company Stardust following three years as Head of Production. With over a decade of experience, a strong background in live action and motion graphics, and an innate ability to adapt to ever changing project demands, Libitsky has been a valuable asset since joining Stardust, personally producing over 100 projects for the company to date.

Prior to teaming up with Stardust in 2008, Libitsky launched the Inner Circle Collective with a number of talented directors in New York. As Executive Producer, he oversaw operations while further honing his proficiency in production techniques. Libitsky also freelanced at many shops in New York. He started his career in production at Brand New School where he spent five years as a Senior Producer.

I.E. Effects Delivers Stereo Conversion for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

L.A. and Michigan Facilities Work Seamlessly on Complex Postproduction Task

Los Angeles, CA: July 26, 2011… Harry Potter fans worldwide are flocking to theaters this summer for the eighth and final installment of the wildly popular film series. Playing to great reviews, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the first film in the franchise to be released in stereoscopic 3D. L.A.-based visual effects house I.E. Effects contributed to this complex postproduction task, providing 2D-to-3D stereo conversion for several key sequences, including some in the film’s opening scenes.

A team of over 50 artists at I.E. Effects’ L.A. and Traverse City, Michigan, facilities worked together for over six months to perfect the stereoscopic effect, making frame-by-frame adjustments to create a 3D experience for audiences.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center on the Prince William Campus of George Mason University in Manassas, Virginia has taken delivery of two Robert Juliat Aramis followspots with motorized dousers from dealer Barbizon Capitol in Alexandria.

The 85,000-square-foot Center, which opened last year, serves the Northern Virginia community. Theater consultant and lighting designer Robert Davis specified Aramis followspots for the 1,121-seat Merchant Hall, which is designed for symphony orchestra performances, dance, opera and theater and boasts a 45-foot by 100-foot stage and a motorized pit set for large orchestras.
