Vaddio Reveals ClearVIEW HD-19 High Definition PTZ Camera with SmartSHOT Technology

Vaddio announces the new ClearVIEW HD-19 high definition PTZ camera with SmartSHOT technology. Charlex Sends a Dresser Through Time for Krylon


When Detroit-based ad agency Doner wanted to create three new spots for client Sherwin-Williams and their line of Krylon aerosol paints, they turned to Charlex. “We loved the boards,” says executive producer Meredith Machial, “and were enthusiastic about teaming up with them for the first time.” According to director Ryan Dunn, Doner was looking for a company “to handle the job from concept-to-completion; a one-stop shop to do it all.”

The agency initially approached Charlex with two separate concepts; the first had a graphic, streamlined aesthetic, while the second had a much more analog, DIY feel to it. Charlex pitched both concepts, and turned it in two separate presentations. “Doner ultimately sold through the second direction, and our treatment was the chosen direction,” adds Dunn.

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Bruno Mars is taking grandMA2 and a complement of Clay Paky Sharpy lighting fixtures on the road for his international tour in support of his debut album, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” A.C.T Lighting is the distributor of both grandMA2 and Clay Paky lighting in North America.

According to lighting designer/programmer/operator Cory FitzGerald almost two truckfuls of lights are accompanying Mars, who is known as one of today’s most versatile pop singers. To control the extensive lighting complement, “we have two full-size grandMA2s running the latest version software – the first time we’ve taken the grandMA2 on tour,” he reports. “We’re using overhead and double-hung diagonal trusses and have a pretty well-rounded lighting inventory.”
