chrome Gets in Character for USA Network

USA Network’s vaunted Character Project is back, this time with a series of eight films exploring the theme of character from the perspectives of eight talented filmmakers. When the project debuted in LA last Monday, one of the docket’s highlights was Director Amie Steir’s Perfect, cut by chrome Editor Lance Pereira to tell the story of one woman’s struggles to step from her perfect sister’s shadow on her wedding day.
In just over 9:00, Pereira creates a beautiful story from Steir’s footage, following the arc of main character Anne’s day, from her peppy wake-up call to setting up for the ceremony to the outdoor wedding and reception. Through deft scene changes, Pereira captures the change in tone as the bride discovers the overshadowing force of her sister has arrived. The sinister sibling proceeds to steal everyone’s attention on Anne’s dream day, transforming more
