Upstaging, Inc. Invests in Clay Paky Moving Lights from A.C.T Lighting

Sycamore, Illinois-based Upstaging, Inc. has purchased a large complement of Clay Paky moving lights from A.C.T Lighting, the distributor of Clay Paky fixtures in North America.

Upstaging has set the scene for theatrical lighting and equipment trucking since 1972 with its production services, event coordination and mobile marketing impacting events worldwide. The new Clay Paky moving lights supplement Upstaging’s extensive inventory deployed for touring artists.

“As with most of our gear, we bought the Clay Paky fixtures because demand for them was client-driven,” says Upstaging’s Jerry Swatek. “Lighting designers are asking for Clay Paky, and we wanted to be able to meet their needs.”

Call for Entries open now: The Framepool/ LBB/ FireFlies Challenge goes into next round

London/ Munich/ Paris/ Los Angeles, March 28th 2011 – Framepool, the footage collection run by filmmakers, opens their call for entries for the 2011 Framepool/ LBB/ FireFlies Challenge. This successful short-film competition is aimed at directors from all over the world, who want to present their films to a highly prominent jury – whilst supporting a good cause at the same time. Contestants are asked to craft a short movie on the topic “compassion�. The works will be judged by a jury of advertising industry super stars, including Mark Tutsell (Leo Burnett), Jake Scott (RSA), Olivier Altman (Publicis), Steffen Gentis (BBDO Proximity), Ringan Ledwidge (Rattling Stick), Mike Clear (2010 Winner/Mother), Wolf Jaiser and Sandy Watson Scott (The FireFlies).
