ADVANCED SYSTEMS GROUP AND DOLBY LABORATORIES ADDRESS 3D WORKFLOW ISSUES AT CONFERENCE

MERYVILLE, CALIF. – In conjunction with Dolby Laboratories, Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a leading West Coast video and film integration firm, presented “3D Workflow 2010� last week at the Dolby Theater in San Francisco. The free daylong event included several conference sessions that addressed a variety of 3D production issues from acquisition to delivery.

AES Announces Dates For 130th & 131st 2011 Conventions May 13 – 16, London/October 20 – 23, NYC

Executive Director Roger Furness has announced that the 130th AES Convention will be held in the Novotel London West Convention Centre, Friday, May 13 – Monday, May 16. The 131st Convention is confirmed for NYC’s Jacob Javits Center, Thursday, October 20 thru Sunday, Oct. 23.

“Extraordinarily positive attendee and exhibitor feedback confirmed the success of our 129th Convention in San Francisco this past November,” Furness said. “We received high marks on all levels, technical, social and organizational. A palpable sense of optimism permeated the entire event.

“Our Convention Committees have already begun the year-long process of developing both these major 2011 events. The call for papers has been posted for the London Convention, and NY Convention Chair Jim Anderson meets this week with our Committee here to begin plans for October,” Furness adds.

Company 3 Installs Eight DaVinci Resolve Systems in LA and NY Offices

LITTLE ROCK FOX AFFILIATE KLRT ADOPTS JVC PROHD CAMERAS FOR STUDIO, ENG USE

WAYNE, NJ – JVC Professional Products Company today announced that KLRT, the FOX affiliate in Little Rock, Ark., has adopted JVC ProHD cameras for studio and ENG use. The Newport Television station, which serves the Little Rock-Pine Bluff market (DMA #56), purchased four GY-HD250Us to replace Thomson LDK 1707s as its main studio cameras for daily newscasts, as well as eight GY-HM700U cameras for ENG use. FOX16 News went live with its new studio cameras yesterday, and has been using its new GY-HM700s in the field since August.
