audioEngine|west recently mixed and composed original music for an epic spot promoting their home state for the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) via Moses Anshell in Phoenix. Composer Jason Camiolo and Mixer Bob Giammarco laid a pitch-perfect track over a panoramic montage of soaring red rocks, tree-laden mountain ranges, shimmering lakes, and the stunning Grand Canyon. The typography complements the footage with the words “wondrous,” “timeless,” “unforgettable,” and, “in a word, Arizona.”

Camiolo notes, “I’ve been writing the music for AOT since 2005. It’s great composing for Moses Anshell. Louis Moses (one of the owners) is a musician himself, so that always creates a fun dynamic.”

When the lighting needs intensified for the Rockefeller Center outdoor concerts hosted by NBC’s “Today” show, Kaufman Astoria Studios provided a grandMA2 to handle lighting control duties. A.C.T Lighting is the exclusive distributor of the grandMA in North America.

“Emmy Award winning Lighting designer Howie Strawbridge began getting into heavier lighting with ColorBlazes, Showguns and HMIs, and he wanted to start using the grandMA2,” says Kaufman Astoria vice president Mike Spera. “So we’ve been providing the board for concerts featuring Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Carole King.
