Trio’s New HD Mobile Unit Hits The Road With Cobalt Digital

(Urbana, IL, November 30, 2010) – Trio Video (www.triovideo.com ), a Chicago-based mobile production company, recently rolled out Tempo – its newest HD mobile unit furnished with an extensive complement of Cobalt Digital’s (www.CobaltDigital.com) 3G/HD/SD conversion gear. The Cobalt equipment is being used to distribute audio and video signals throughout the vehicle, and convert high-definition signals to different levels and formats. ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG selects 162 Crystal Vision interface boards for HD production upgrade

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG is upgrading its internal infrastructure to support HD production and has selected 162 Crystal Vision interface boards for a new MCR for the production studios and to distribute signals all over its facility.

ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG is a European media conglomerate which operates commercial television stations, premium pay channels, radio stations and print businesses, and has operations in 13 European countries. It broadcasts eleven television channels in Germany: SAT.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, SAT.1 HD, ProSieben HD, kabel eins HD, sixx, sixx HD, Sat.1 Comedy, kabel eins classics and 9Live.

With the need to upgrade its infrastructure in Munich to HD production capability, ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG evaluated three interface suppliers and selected Crystal Vision for both technological and financial reasons.

Adisar Media, the Madrid production company, has chosen Quantel’s eQFX to spearhead the extension of its business into post production. The eQ is equipped with the QColor in-context grading option.

Founded in 2002 by David Arribas, Adisar Media specializes in production services for primetime soap operas and TV movies. The New York City Council Streams Meetings Live with LEIGHTRONIX

This November, the New York City Council conducted their first live Internet broadcast by utilizing LEIGHTRONIX streaming technology.

The city aims to utilize the streaming technology to create a stronger Internet presence and provide transparency that enhances open government. Live broadcasts give viewers immediate access to events as they occur, while archived, video-on-demand provides community members with the opportunity to watch recorded council meetings at their convenience.

“Webcasting is important for transparency and for civic engagement,� said Gale Brewer, the City of New York’s former chair of the Committee on Technology. “Folks are very excited about being able to see the city council.�
