Charged Studios Is Called Upon By MoveOn.org To Produce An Interactive Spot With A Message From the Future

CHARGED STUDIOS, the NY-based production company, went back to the future to create a bold interactive live-action spot that plays like a hijacked TV broadcast from the year 2057 – sending out a desperate plea for people to vote in the 2010 elections by showing what the future holds if they don’t.

Directed by Adam Pierce and Yaniv Raz, the video, entitled ‘Save The Future,‘ opens as actress Olivia Wilde (of ‘House’ fame), a tech-savvy political activist from 47-years in the future, interrupts a news program broadcasted in the year 2010 with an urgent message. Introducing herself as Olivia Kickin’ Chipotle Glazed Time Warner,

she gives a frenzied, terrifying, acerbic – and sometimes humorous account of an America governed by ‘RepubliCorp,’ a war-hungry, inept party that rose to power as a direct result of poor voter turnout in 2010.

MERGE@Crossroads’ Isham Goes 3D for Bon Jovi

Continuing a relationship that spans more than two decades, MERGE@Crossroads Director Wayne Isham recently lensed the latest video for rock mainstay Bon Jovi. While What Do You Got? features the same quality production as all of Isham’s videos for the legendary band (stretching back to Livin’ on a Prayer), this latest clip features one important distinction: it’s filmed in stereoscopic 3D.

What Do You Got? is a tale of money, fame and disillusionment set to Bon Jovi’s latest power ballad. The video stars a fabulously rich and publicly admired couple – including a special appearance by actor Wes Bentley of American Beauty fame, and actress Scottie Thompson – who, in spite of their constant attention from paparazzi, their opulent mansion, and their jet-setting lifestyle, are profoundly unhappy and estranged from one another. Isham perfectly captures that tension by alternating shots of the couple grinning in public settings more

TEAK Hits the Slopes for Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort

As the deep snows of another Lake Tahoe winter prepare to fall, TEAK Director Annie Sloan teamed up with Eleven Inc to produce a retro-hip :30 for Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. In keeping with its tradition as a full-service production studio, TEAK worked on the spot from concept to completion, helping with creative and handling all set dressing, production, editing, titles and post-production.

The spot is a continuation of Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s quirky Goodology campaign, starring the obliviously upbeat Glen Heywood, Chief “Goodologist,” a 1970s throwback character with a moustache, side-parted hairdo, cup of coffee, colorful zip-up sweater and jeans. Ding Dong stars Heywood calmly sitting on a couch that appears to be cruising down Northstar Resort’s various slopes as he dispenses his philosophy of optimism.

“With the production, the props, the lighting, we had to find a balance between ‘this could be Glen’s basement’ and ‘this more

Backyard Director Rob Pritts, via The Richards Group, recently completed an entertaining eight-spot campaign under the Let It All In idea. The campaign highlights the emotional experiences that result from using Charter TV, Internet and phone services. The campaign is notable for the breadth and variety of the individual spots, which together form a unique showcase of Pritts’ versatility. Four of the spots are currently airing, with the remaining four slated to air late in the fall.

Married cleverly showcases Charter’s two-year price guarantee for its three-in-one TV, Internet, and phone packages by profiling grinning, love-struck newlyweds strolling into their spacious new home, boxes stacked high. Two years later, the frazzled duo is stuck in the cluttered home with bawling twins. “A lot can change in two years, but not everything has to,” a narrator offers before detailing the company’s consistent price policy.
