Ljud & Bildmedia Purchases Two MARVIN Systems for On-Set Camera Data Management

London: October 20, 2010… MARVIN Technologies today announced the sale of two MARVIN systems to Stockholm-based Ljud & Bildmedia, one of Sweden’s leading film production rental houses. MARVIN provides a one-step solution for backing up capture data and generating all camera deliverables on the spot, including LTO tape masters, offline files, DVD Dailies and high resolution production stills. “We’ve been looking for something like this for some time,� said Björn Thisell, founder and owner of Ljud & Bildmedia. “We have always had to make a whole long list of decisions about what equipment needs to go on set for each project, but with MARVIN the decision is already made.� more

Milwaukee, WI – October 20, 2010… Geared to increase awareness of the importance of family farms, Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America, took place at Miller Park on Saturday, October 2nd. Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews performed, as did Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, and several additional high profile artists. The event was broadcast on Willie’s Place, Sirius/XM Radio as well as DIRECTV’s The 101 Network. Ensuring the best possible audio quality for this event was a huge undertaking—one that was very ably managed by MTV’s Remote Unit 8 truck and its crew, which consisted of Marc Repp and Browning McCollum. The Award was for Quantel’s Pablo 3D color correction and finishing system, the only post production system to be honored for achievements in Stereo3D for the period between 1980 and December 2009. more
