PHILADELPHIA, PA— Director Matt Reeves and Visual Effects Supervisor Brad Parker tapped DIVE to manage and execute 87 visual effects shots for Exclusive Media/Hammer Films “Let Me In�, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13 and opened nationally on October 1.

A.C.T Lighting will now be a distributor of Wireless Solutions’ W-DMX product line in the United States. The premiere distribution company will now represent W-DMX lighting products for the entertainment market, adding to its top-of-the-line roster, which also includes MA Lighting, Clay Paky and GDS LiteWare.

U.K.’s First 3D Film Makes U.S. Debut at 3D Film Festival

(Los Angeles, CA & London, UK) Digital Vision has broken new ground in Europe by announcing that its stereoscopic toolset was used to grade the 3D feature film StreetDance. German post production facility, Post Republic graded the film using the Nucoda Film Master. StreetDance 3D, from Vertigo Films, made its U.S. premier at the 3D Film Festival in Hollywood. more

The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) has announced a call for entries in the 2011 William A. Fraker Heritage Award competition for outstanding artistic achievement in student filmmaking. The award is dedicated annually to the memory of a cinematographer who made extraordinary contributions to advancing the art form. The award will be presented during the 25th Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards celebration, which will be held here at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on February 13, 2011. more
