Oddball Film+Video Represents B Movies Collection, Licences Footage for The American Experience, Provides Movie Trailer for “Rich Hall’s The Dirty South�.
Oddball Film+Video, the leading provider of offbeat and unusual stock footage, has recently acquired the Forbidden Films Collection featuring unique propaganda footage. Oddball’s quirky collection consist of over 50,000+ 35mm, 16mm and HD historical and contemporary clips in all genres. Oddball’s recent projects include licensing footage for PBS’s American Experience series “Roads to Memphis�. Oddball also supplied a movie trailer for BBC4’s “Rich Hall’s The Dirty South� which aired July 12th in the UK. Oddball provided research and historical footage for artist, Camille Utterback, as part of her multi-media installation “Shifting Time�.
Recent Acquisitions
Oddball Film+Video is representing an extensive collection of B movies including hilarious kung-fu and low-fi horror films. Oddball has also recently acquired the rare Forbidden Films Collection which features a sampling of over 800 films from Nazi Germany, Japan and Italy from the period 1922-1945.
Recent Projects
Oddball Film+Video provided unique footage of Martin Luther King Jr., a compilation of 1968 historical events along with an Almond Joy and Ban deodorant commercial for The American Experience “Roads to Memphis� documentary on PBS. Oddball supplied media artist Camille Utterback with historical footage of Silicon Valley. The clips were integrated into the permanent multi-media installation, “Shifting Time�, at the San Jose International Airport. Oddball provided the “Easy Rider� movie trailer for BBC4’s documentary “Rich Hall’s The Dirty South�, an exploration into the stereotypes tied to America’s southern states. Additionally, Oddball supplied a 1980s clip of a female bodybuilder flexing her muscles for Gold’s Gym new online promotional campaign.
Oddball’s Eclectic Film Screenings
Oddball Film+Video presents a unusual and enticing weekly cinema series featuring eclectic film programs such as their monthly “Weirdsville� screenings which showcase a selection of rare, bizarre and highly entertaining films from the archive’s offbeat collection. “Vintage Voyages�, “Monkey Time!� and “Booze! 80-Proof Cinema Vol.2� were also recently presented to our avid audiences.
