Company 3 recently completed work on a new campaign from K-Swiss via ad agency 72andSunny featuring Kenny Powers, the fictional character played by Danny McBride in the HBO series “Eastbound & Down.â€? The campaign, which includes national TV spots, in-theatre ads, print media, digital/interactive campaigns and outdoor, introduces the company’s new “Tubes” lightweight training footwear. The campaign broke August 2 and will lead into the return of the TV series, which debuts September 26. more

Fireflies West will hold its third annual fundraising bike ride for cancer research and treatment from September 24-29th, 2010

Starting with a kick-off event at advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners on September 24th, a group of film directors, production, post production and advertising executives will set off on their bicycles for a six-day, 550 mile ride down the spectacular coastline from San Francisco to Los Angeles. A sister-ride to the annual 650 mile event in the French Alps, Fireflies West 2010 will include riders from Ridley Scott and Associates (the original founders and supporter of the ride), Believe Media, the Mill, Zoic Studios, Humble, Union Editorial, Deutsch and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to name a few. more

Bonfire, a motion design and integrated media company, has announced that Mark Coleran has come on board as design director. Coleran is one of the most high profile designers of Fantasy User Interfaces (FUIs) for feature film and will leverage that experience to bring FUIs into real-world production for Bonfire’s roster of technology clients.

In his new role, Coleran will work closely with Bonfire Executive Producer Julia Sonder-Patchin, Executive Creative Director/Partner Matt Silverman and Creative Directors Barry Musterteiger and Phil Spitler to oversee the development of interactive design and graphic user interfaces for Bonfire’s consumer electronics clients. more
