Digimation Delivers Pair of Virtual Training Projects

High Fidelity Virtual Training Answers Marketing and Visualization Needs

ORLANDO, Florida – May 27, 2010 – Digimation®, a leading developer of high fidelity virtual training, announced the completion and on-schedule delivery of two virtual training projects for Global Technical Systems (GTS) and RiverHawk Fast Sea Frames.

GTS designed and develops the Advanced COTS Enclosure (ACE), a sophisticated rack system for Navy platforms, which mitigates the effects of combat and environmental shock events on the mission-critical computer equipment housed inside. The challenge was presenting the system’s advanced capabilities in a way that could be quickly and easily understood. Digimation developed an extremely realistic interactive trainer that not only explains each component of the system, but allows users the opportunity to trigger a 186 g-force shock event and see exactly how the system mitigates damage to the inner cabinet. Assembly and disassembly steps are also shown demonstrating how the cabinet can be moved and mounted into the close quarters of naval ships and subs.
