The Colony filmed the Coke ‘Mother’ TV commercial in NY & LA.

Director David Gaddie, of production company The Colony, recently lensed a spot for Coke’s new ‘Mother’ beverage. With the target market being everyday ‘blokes,’ the spot takes place in “Motherlandâ€? – a place that celebrates sizzling steaks, epic explosions, and shooting guns with abandon.

Gaddie lensed the footage on location at an old rail yard in Sydney Australia using built set pieces that were later enhanced in post production. The explosions are all real and in-camera though – The Colony loves pyro! Second unit was shot in Coney Island, New York and LA theme parks.

Coemar Infinity XL and ACL Fixtures Shine During Five-Hour 311 Day Concert in Las Vegas



After selecting Coemar lighting fixtures for alternative/funk party band 311’s 2008 and 2009 tours, lighting designer/director Joe Paradise once again chose a complement of Coemar Infinity XLs and ACLs for the band’s much-anticipated 2010 311 Day Concert.

The biennial event, which celebrates the band and salutes fans worldwide, was held at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas on March 11. The five-hour communal concert began in 2000 and has become a 311 tradition; this year fans could also tune into a live webcast. more
