Panasonic AW-RP50 remote camera controller

SECAUCUS, NJ (February 12, 2010) – Panasonic has announced a new “50 Series� – the company’s first implementation of an Internet Protocol (IP) and Serial-controlled video production system. The “50 Series� includes the AW-RP50 remote camera controller, the AW-HE50 multi-format HD/SD camera with an integrated pan-tilt-zoom mechanism, and the AW-HS50 sub-compact live switcher with built-in MultiViewer.

SECAUCUS, NJ (February 12, 2010) – Panasonic has introduced a new multi-format HD/SD camera with integrated pan-tilt-zoom mechanism, the AW-HE50. The camera will be available in two versions, the AW-HE50H with an HDMI output and AW-HE50S with an HD/SD-SDI output and genlock.

The HE50 will be a key component in the company’s first complete Internet Protocol (IP) and Serial-control capable system. Up to 100 HE50 located in remote locations can be operated by a new remote camera controller, the AW-RP50. To facilitate a virtually unlimited range of applications, the camera will also be controllable via RS-422 serial control by Panasonic AW series controllers, computers, and control systems from other manufacturers. more
