Ascent Media Launches Mr. Literary Webisode Campaign for Barnes & Noble
Combining Equal Parts Ad Agency, Development Studio and Production Company Ascent Media Creates Advertiser Sponsored Content for the Web
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — January 20, 2010 — Visitors to the B&N Studio at Barnes and Noble can now tune in to the latest adventures of Mr. Literary, a comic character with an unfortunate compulsion to quote famous authors at the most inopportune times. The series of Mr. Literary short films, which kicked off on B&N Studio January 11th, is the first project from Ascent Media Group‘s newest creative venture, Serial, which is dedicated to creating advertiser-sponsored content for the internet. more




A Very Small Office Director Mikon van Gastel, working closely yet again with Peterson Milla Hooks, just finished a series of upbeat, lighthearted spots promoting Target’s Frugalista campaign. The effort, which debuted during the 2010 Golden Globes and will also run during the Winter Olympics, features a series of vignettes that are shuffled from spot to spot to create a custom commercial appealing to each event’s audience, while retaining the central message that Target is the place for everyday shoppers to find affordable fashion.
