Spatial View and UVPHACTORY bring glasses-free 3D to the iPhone with Grammy Award Nominee The Crystal Method

TORONTO/NEW YORK– Spatial View and UVPHACTORY (UVPH) have joined creative forces to debut the first-ever glasses-free 3D music video available for the iPhone in time for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. UVPH designed and directed the video entitled “Drown in the Now� for The Crystal Method. “Drown in the Now� features a performance by Matisyahu and is taken from The Crystal Method’s recent album “Divided by Night� which is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Electronic/Dance Album category. The Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, January 31st at 8 p.m. ET/PT. New Filmmaking Program at Ringling College in Sarasota, FL Engages Industry Leaders and Ringling Students in Collaborative Environment to Facilitate Film and Television Development. Director Werner Herzog Inaugurates Program with Screening and Discussion for the Media Thursday Evening on Ringling Campus.

The Digital Filmmaking Studio Lab is bringing some of the world’s most renowned filmmakers to Ringing College to work collaboratively with Ringling students on learning the process of motion picture and television development through working on actual projects. As the initial step in the production pipeline for any film or TV program, development is one of the most esoteric and difficult to teach. To this end Ringling College has aligned with A-List Directors, Producers, Screenwriters and Talent to provide real-world experience in the art and science of Filmmaking through acquiring, developing, producing and distributing top-tier content. more

Projected onto 2 sites, Senate House and the adjacent Old School, and the end of Kings College Chapel and the next door Gibbs Building, a combination of PIGI and video projection technologies supplied by E/T/C London were utilised in 3 separate but related animated shows. These expressed elements of the University’s dynamic science and research programmes as art in breath-taking large format scrolling images. more
