MusicWorks Interactive, publisher of educational books and DVDs for the music profession, has released The Finale 2010 Tutorial DVD-ROM, a video tutorial for Finale 2010 notation software. The title follows up on the company’s hugely successful tutorial for Finale 2008 and 2009. This ambitious DVD includes 9 hours of video instruction and was produced to help develop and refine Finale skills in teachers, students, composers, orchestrators and other musicians who use Finale software.

The new five year warranty, which was launched on 20th August and which is an extension of the standard three year warranty, covers all labour and parts and is applicable to modules, frames, power supplies, rear modules, fans, active frame front panels and remote control panels. Crystal Vision will repair or replace any defective items free of charge for the period of the warranty, guaranteeing availability of spare parts for five years following purchase, and will also provide critical software updates throughout the lifetime of the board. more

Hip Hop

Coemar lighting fixtures lent an elegant, theatrical look to the “VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009,” a sophisticated yet fun event that’s been called the Kennedy Center Honors for the hip hop industry. Lighting designer Tom Kenny employed an array of Coemar Infinity Wash XLS and Infinity ACL S moving heads as well as ParLite LEDs, supplied by Atomic Lighting, to showcase hip hop’s biggest luminaries.

The sixth annual “Hip Hop Honors” was taped at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House where Tracy Morgan hosted for the third consecutive year sharing the stage with Eminem, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Public Enemy, Ja Rule, DMX, Redman, and Ashanti. more
