Vizrt announces that the company will demonstrate the latest versions in its wide product range at the 19th Broadcast India 2009 Exhibition. The show will be held on 29–31 October, 2009 in Hall V – Bombay Exhibition Centre, Western Express Highway, Goregaon (East), Mumbai, India. Vizrt will be in booth #A-103.
“As a very global company, Broadcast India has become one of the more important shows for Vizrt, said Scott Barber, Director Vizrt India. “It reaches many of our long-time customers as well as new and growing markets for us. And it puts us in front of the key decision makers in those regions. Last year’s Broadcast India show resulted in a significant spur in sales, and we expect the same result from this year’s show.
On display at Broadcast India will be the recently introduced, new versions of Vizrt’s Viz Artist™ animation and visual effects creation design tool, Viz Content Pilot™ template-based graphics system, Viz Multichannel™ channel branding software, Viz Curious Maps™ branded mapping and geographic animation software, Viz Video Hub™ media asset management system, and Escenic Content Studio 5 content management software for digital media publishing.
Vizrt Artist 3.2 is a complete redevelopment of Vizrt’s the creation tool for high-quality 2D and 3D real-time graphics. The application can now be used to build complete virtual sets and complex 3D animations. Maps and video are supported throughout the workflow. It allows the artist to creat graphics for all other Vizrt products. An enhanced user interface gives direct access to the application and makes working with Viz Artist easier than ever before.
Viz Content Pilot 5.3 is the latest version of the workflow-oriented broadcast graphics software. It comes with significantly expanded features to facilitate the creation of on-air and online graphics in the newsroom. It has a new unified search feature that allows users to search, edit and use images, videos and audio clips from both Viz Object Store and Viz Video Hub. The search results can be edited and added to graphic templates for on-air playout or online publication. It is also fully integrated with the Escenic Content Studio 5 online and mobile publishing platform. And it now features a Vizky-powered preview as an alternative option to the Viz Engine–powered desktop preview.
Viz Multichannel 2.5 integrates Vizrt’s realtime 2D/3D graphics and effects with broadcast automation, traffic, and delivery systems, giving broadcasters a hands-off workflow for presenting tickers, banners, snipes and program schedule graphics for more dynamic channel branding. It provides many new user-friendly features and operational capabilities that further streamline and automate the operational workflow, including full integration with Viz Ticker3D—an advanced, flexible, creative tool for designing and building graphics-rich tickers.
Version 9.1 of Viz Curious Maps represents a major upgrade to the mapping and geographic animation software. It adds several features that make it easier to incorporate high-resolution global satellite imagery from providers directly into the map building environment. Users may now access digital satellite imagery from online services offered by Vizrt partner, DigitalGlobe. It now has the ability to incorporate highly detailed 15 meters per pixel (m/pixel) resolution global and regional datasets—such as Western Europe—from PlanetObserver. It improves upon the system’s Curious Maps Editor (CME) by adding enhanced search capabilities and other updates. It also upgrades the map building process, extends support for 3rd party data and improves vector rendering performance. By means of the Viz Curious Maps server edition, this solution provides realtime, branded map imagery to several clients embedded within Vizrt’s control applications.
Viz Video Hub 2.0 is a cost-effective media asset management solution that allows users to store the entire content of an analog media library digitally. It provides IT-based production and archiving and enables users to access video clips, stills, graphics and audio clips from a standard PC. It can also be used as a standalone production unit, and it can be integrated with existing Vizrt graphics solutions.
Escenic Content Studio 5 is a strategic content content management software for digital media publishing. The technology currently powers over 600 news and media web sites worldwide. With Escenic Content Studio 5, content owners can transfer their media files to an online environment and process them in a way that makes them suitable for use on the Internet.
