(Hollywood, CA) June 19, 2009 – Levels Audio, Hollywood’s leading independent audio post production facility, is currently mixing all of the packages and roll-in pieces for Spike TV’s 2009 Guy’s Choice Awards. Following the mixing of the packages, Levels Audio Post will then go back into the studio and handle all of the post audio remixing of the show for broadcast after the studio taping. more

On June 3rd, the Northeast region of Canon U.S.A.’s Broadcast & Communications division hosted its first annual “Open House� event at NEP Studios in Manhattan. The event’s purpose was to enable the six major broadcast camera manufacturers to showcase their latest HD products to industry professionals who may not have been able to attend this year’s NAB. A wide range of Canon HD lenses were also displayed. more

T160 Motion Capture System Set Up in Outdoor Las Vegas Ice Rink to Capture Moves from NHL Stars Alex Ovechkin and Ryan Kesler

VICON’s T160 motion capture system was deployed to capture pro hockey players in an outdoor shoot hosted by 2K Sports at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV. To promote its upcoming game title NHL 2K10, 2K Sports set up an artificial ice rink inside a VICON mocap volume in order to capture signature hockey moves from NHL 2K10 cover star Alex Ovechkin and NHL star Ryan Kesler. The nighttime event took place on June 16, and was open to the public. NHL 2K10 is scheduled to release later this year on Wii, PS3, Xbox and PS2. more

Veteran Actress inks deal for voiceover and motion capture representation.

Los Angeles, CA (6/2009) – Actress Karen Dyer recently announced her signing with VOX for voiceover and motion capture representation.
