STAR VANESSA HUDGENS ARRIVES IN NEW MULTI-FACETED CAMPAIGN FOR SEARS WITH HELP FROM Y&R AND BETA PETROL
Ambitious Campaign Includes Original Music By Producer Neo Da Matrix
Los Angeles, CA – Beta Petrol recently handled music supervision, licensing, negotiations and production on an ambitious Sears commercial campaign featuring Vanessa Hudgens. “(Don’t Just Go Back) Arrive! is also a full-length music video, with original music written by producer Neo Da Matrix, and directed by Joseph Kahn of HSI Productions. The campaign was created by ad agency Young & Rubicam/Chicago.
In “(Don’t Just Go Back) Arrive! the 19-year-old “High School Musical star dances in school hallways and shows off her new fall clothes. Courtesy of the new Sears website, www.arrivelounge.com, fans can catch up on the latest styles, view photos and win prizes.

Beta Petrol Partners Bryan Ray Turcotte and Nathan Ehrenfeld were brought in by the Y&R team at the beginning of the project to act as music creative consultants, and then see it through to completion. The results are a testament to Beta Petrol’s versatility and aptitude for executing highly complex and delicate projects. For this project, Turcotte and Ehrenfeld suggested the involvement of Neo Da Matrix, a well-known music producer who has worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Ruff Ryders, Cassidy, Rihanna and Beyonce.
The result? A full-blown 3:00 music video with great buzz on the web, 10 x :30 TV commercials, and a 2:00 cut-down video – as well as an 18:00 documentary and reality web series, “My Own Two Feet, based on the dancers featured in the Sears TV commercial shoot. Since its launch, the Sears website, www.arrivelounge.com, has had 650,000 hits so far. Widgets are also available for fans to remix the song and footage on their computers.
A Hispanic version of the campaign was created by ad agency Bravo Group, with Beta Petrol repeating the production process in Spanish.
