NORTHERN LIGHTS ROCKS OUT IN HUMOROUS SPOT FOR VH1 CLASSIC

nlvh1-classic.jpgNew York, NY – (July 10, 2008) — Northern Lights VFX Artist Chris Hengeveld recently handled VFX and post work on a comedic spot for VH1 Classic. Hengeveld partnered with VH1 Creative Director/Writer and long-time collaborator Micah Perta to add energy to the clay-animated spot.

“Hair Metalâ€? is a raucous homage to the glory days of the genre. The spot melds claymation with VFX to hilariously recapture the bygone era of skinny and shirtless men in spandex who can seriously shred! Against a backdrop of pyrotechnics and screaming fans, the claymation band members reach an epic crescendo — one strong enough to wake the heavy metal gods. Suddenly, their billowing hair begins to grow until the entire band becomes entangled and enveloped by a tangled mop of hair. more

Easy Upgrade to da Vinci Resolve® System Enables Milan’s Rumblefish to Expand Services

Cinesite Creates Gritty, Realistic Visual Effects for HBO Iraq War Series Generation Kill

LONDON – Cinesite has completed all visual effects for the HBO mini-series Generation Kill, which will broadcast from July 13 on HBO in the United States. The seven-episode series is based upon the highly successful book by Evan Wright, which was published in 2004, and won the Los Angeles Times book award as well as several other prestigious prizes.

Cinesite created around 450 visual effects shots for the series, which is directed by Susanna White and Simon Cellan Jones. Visual Effects Supervisor for HBO was Adam McInnes and for Cinesite Dave Sewell and Stuart Partridge. Cinesite’s CG Supervisor was Stephane Paris. more
