Joe Fernando joins as VP of DVD Sales and Larry Spangler comes on board as VP of Digital Media Services

Post Logic Studios, a division of Prime Focus Group, announced the addition of two new hires, Joe Fernando as VP of DVD Sales and Larry Spangler as VP of Digital Media Services. The additions come as Post Logic, a full service post-production and digital intermediate (DI) company, is expanding its DVD and Digital Services Department. BURBANK, CA (April 30, 2008)— Quantel’s regional office, here, was broken into early this week, and the company’s brand new Neo control panel for its Pablo color correction system was taken. Quantel introduced Neo at NAB in Las Vegas this month and has already taken orders for 20 units, as its Newbury, UK, factory ramps up production.

Neo was designed through feedback from Pablo users and incorporates a layout that allows for fast work by either left- or right-handed operators. The control panel offers one-button access to menus, keeping functions easily accessible. Ahost of organic LEDs, as well as its backlit fascia, help to provide visual feedback to the user. more

Dogsharks help save energy in a 1:00 animated short film that went online Earth Day, April 22nd. Animated by the folks at MOSS, Dogsharks: Climate Change, was created in conjunction with Robert Wurzburg, creator of the Dogsharks brand.

“This project came out of a conversation with Robert Wurzburg about creating cartoons to get people thinking about the issue of global warming. As we were launching MOSS, we decided to create this one together as our first in-house PSA,â€? explained Harold Moss, co-founder/creative director of MOSS, a brand initiative created to focus exclusively on producing media, across all platforms, fostering environmental, social, and political awareness. “Working with Robert is like going to a creative playground and we relished the opportunity to find a fun way to get out a message we care about — what individuals can do to combat global warming.
