Director John Osborne Pulls Up a Soapbox for Converse

The Brief:

Anonymous Content’s newest addition, John Osborne directs this unconventional campaign for the subversive cultural phenomenon that surrounds Converse. In these ads we see clips from a dramatic soap opera re-run, a singing superstar peddling a product, and a tearful phone-in pageant winner. The images take a backseat to the scrolling messages that appear across the screen. Non-conformists can take comfort knowing they are not alone as the words educate us about our tendency for mindless television watching, acceptance of marketing ploys, and questioning our commitment for voting in superfluous contests that have no democratic significance to our sheltered lives. The famously recognized shoe never appears in the ads. Instead, the messages that Converse presents becomes the focus that one can align themselves with by donning a pair of chucks. more

Crossroads Ups and Lew and Adds New EC and WC Repping Talent

Leading bicoastal/international multimedia and content creation firm, Crossroads, recently announced some significant infrastructure changes within their Commercial division to help accommodate the company’s recent bevy of talent signings. Sharon Lew, while maintaining her Head of Sales position, will now take on the Executive Producer role in the New York office as well. Carole Hughes, Michael Fekete, and Joseph Uliano handle the Executive Producer duties for the Los Angeles office. Sharon has worked within the Crossroads family for nearly 20 years, with only a short stint outside the company walls when she operated her independent repping firm, Lew & Company. All the while, Lew maintained her relationship of repping the Crossroads Commercial division independently on the east coast. more

XL Video Supplies largest Martin LC40 configuration to date

XL was working for production company Live Communications. The Martin LC40 was specified due to it’s light weight and transparent properties, allowing viewers to see into the showroom whilst off, then provide large video canvass when in operation. more
