TIPPETT STUDIO CREATES THE MONSTER THAT DESTROYED MANHATTAN
February 1, 2008, Berkeley, CA – The monster that destroys New York City in “Cloverfield,” Paramount’s boxoffice record-breaking movie in current release, was created by famed visual effects and animation company Tippett Studio. Paramount Pictures A Bad Robot Production “Cloverfieldâ€? starring Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T. J. Miller, Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel and Odette Yustman. The director is Matt Reeves. The film was written by Drew Goddard. The producers are J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. The executive producers are Guy Riedel and Sherryl Clark. This film has been rated PG-13 for violence, terror and disturbing images. Tippett Studio’s team, helmed by visual effects supervisor Eric Leven and the creative leads Tom Gibbons, Chris Morely and Steve Reding, completed key dramatic and complex visual effects shots involving the monster and the deadly parasites, integrating them expertly within photographic and digital environments. more
